RE: Hwy 95 from Needles to Quartzsite

Az 95 has more passing lanes, and places to pull over than Ca 95. We also found on the Ca side without the passing lanes we soon had 4 or 5 RVs in a line and sometimes the 4 wheelers get impatient behind you and can pull some bonehead moves to pass everybody. Have a safe trip which ever way you go. We are usually headed for Texas when we go that way, the DW has family in Freeport TX.

RE: Hwy 95 from Needles to Quartzsite

There is one alternative, and that is to stay on I 40 to exit #9 on the Arizona side and take AZ 95 thru Havasu City. We have been both ways and prefer AZ 95 because there is more scenery, Havasu City, the lake and the London Bridge. Ca 95 has nothing between Needles and Vidal Junction, and then from Vidal to I 10 still nothing. Vidal to Parker is no big deal though, a two lane bridge over the Colorado river but big rigs use it all the time.

RE: Sacramento CA to Roswell New Mexico

Hwy 99 to Bakersfield, Hwy 58 to Barstow, I40 to Needles, AZ Hwy 95 to Quartzsite, Then I 10 to Las Cruces NM, Then Hwy 70 to Roswell. The only one of those we have not been on is 70 from Las Cruces to Roswell. my mapping software says its 184 miles from Las Cruces to Roswell 4hrs 32 minutes, so it should be good road.

RE: Route - Sacramento to Quartzsite

Or when you get to Kramer Junction, keep going east to Needles and then south on AZ 95 at exit #9 thru Havasu City straight to Q, and miss the Riverside-San Berdoo traffic.

RE: I-10 Through Houston

We paid $16.75 From 59 to I 10 on the east side of Houston in June. On the way back in July, we went straight thru on I 10 but it was on a Sunday afternoon.

RE: hip replacement

Thanks to everyone for the advice and information. This came as a shock to me. I thought I had aggravated a nerve in my back from our six week summer trip. When the Doctor showed me my x-ray I was flabbergasted. Just did my stress test on Friday ( have to get clearance from the Cardiologist for the anesthesia ) Blood work next week, and then a pre-op meeting with the anesthesiologist on the 21st. We will see how things work out. Thanks again

RE: Monaco - Front N Rear Cap resealing?

As requested Dick here are some photos. You will have to ignore the dirty roof, we live in the middle of an almond orchard and I have not washed the roof since harvest. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r164/hrambler/11-01-08_1603.jpg width=480 http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r164/hrambler/11-01-08_1609.jpg width=480 http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r164/hrambler/11-01-08_1606.jpg width=480 http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r164/hrambler/11-01-08_1610.jpg width=480

RE: Monaco - Front N Rear Cap resealing?

I used the Dicor self leveling lap sealant. It comes in a tube that fits into a caulking gun, like you would use around a bath tub. Yes, just go over the part of the tape that you trim off. lap sealant I used about a tube and a half.

RE: Monaco - Front N Rear Cap resealing?

Don Check your gmail account, I sent some pictures. As you can see I did the kitchen skylight also. The Dicor I got from our local RV store. I think it was around $10.00 The Eternabond I ordered from Best Materials.

RE: Monaco - Front N Rear Cap resealing?

Only the trailing edge of the front cap tape, and the leading edge of the rear cap tape was rolling up. I trimmed the rolled up edge and then cleaned it with lacquer thinner poured on a rag,(don't pour it on the roof, that's not a good thing) then wiped it off with a dry rag. Applied the Eternabond over the area that I trimmed off. I will try to get a couple of pictures later, It's raining out there now.

RE: Monaco - Front N Rear Cap resealing?

I used a razor knife to carefully trim the rolled up portion of the "Foil Backed Tar Tape" (that is what Monaco calls it) Then ran 2" Eternabond tape over the edge of the Tar Tape, and then laid a run of Dicor self leveling sealant along the edge. http://www.bestmaterials.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=1021 http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/dicor-self-leveling-lap-sealant-white/5737

RE: Fort Stockton KOA

Nice overnite stop. We have stayed 5 times when crossing Texas. Easy on and off, and reasonable ($26). Be sure and get reservations, lots of drilling contractors using it as a home base. Exit #264 just east of Ft Stockton.

RE: hip replacement

Canope What type of material did you use? (Stainless steel, Plastic and steel, Ceramic on steel, Ceramic on Ceramic) And are you happy with it? I still have to make that choice. I tried a Private Message but it bounced back

hip replacement

Has anyone had a complete hip replacement using the Anterior Approach Method? I am scheduled for one at Stanford Clinic on Dec 2nd. Any opinions would be appreciated.
